During the fasting, we are tempted to consume a lot of bread, horns, pretzels, soy products and oil-filled greens, foods that are dangerous to our health and which favor fattening.
During this time, it is important to know what is good to eat and how much, or we can have problems with extra pounds. The easy-to-find products, which contain carbohydrates or fats that Romanians generally consume in the fasting, lead to fattening and gastroduodenal disorders, says doctor Florin Bălănică, a specialist in lifestyle medicine. The lack of animal proteins and their replacement with vegetable proteins, such as soy, beans, peas, chickpeas, which contain many carbohydrates, promotes fattening.
Here’s what you need to do in order to not get fat:
A first step would be to adopt the three-meals a day program and two snacks
In food, you should include antioxidants and fibers, such as green apple, kiwi, pineapple and forest fruits
Green must be the star on the plate if we keep fast. Specifically, it is recommended to choose spinach, asparagus, green bean, lettuce, leek, cabbage, cucumber, pepper and courgette
It is advisable to avoid processed foods without valuable nutrients, those with a lot of white flour, vegetable fats and sugar. Potatoes should be consumed occasionally, with measure and copt. Cut rice to one tablespoon, whole bread to one slice, and maximum oleaginous fruit. We also do not have to abuse oils, olives and honey
